GRIT went 2-0 on Saturday with an 11-3 win over the Triad Warriors and a 14-3 win over Luckies Orange. Rogue also went 2-0 in pool play, scoring a 21-2 win over GRIT – Culler and a 10-6 win over SML Sandlot (VA). Sandlot fell 15-7 against GRIT – Culler in their other pool play game. In the bracket play play-in games, SML Sandlot topped Grit – Culler 15-6 and the Triad Warriors scored a 13-3 win over Luckies Orange. In the semifinals, Snadlot topped Rogue 8-4 and GRIT notched a 15-7 win over the Triad Warriors. In the finals, SML Sandlot bounced back from a winless Saturday with a 20-16 win over GRIT to go 3-0 on Sunday and take home the 8u crown.

Luckies Gold went 2-0 on Saturday with a 9-7 win over the Carolina Impact and a 16-0 win over the Diamond Deacons. NC Rogue also went 2-0 in pool play with an 11-3 win over the Carolina Curve and a 10-7 win over GRIT. In the bracket play play-in games, GRIT notched a 8-6 win over the Diamond Deacons and the Carolina Impact blanked the Carolina Curve 8-0. In the semifinals, NC Rogue edged past GRIT 4-3 while the Impact rolled to an 11-1 win over Luckies Gold. In the finals, NC Rogue finished out a 4-0 weekend with an exciting 12-11 win over the Carolina Impact.

Of the 11 teams in the 10u field in Greensboro this past weekend, 5 teams went undefeated in pool play. The Summerfield Stars went 2-0 in pool play on Saturday, scoring a 13-0 win over Phoenix Elite and a 12-5 win over the Diamond Deacons. Carolina Red Sox – Jones went 2-0 with a 14-5 win over Phoenix Elite and an 8-1 win over the Deacons. The NC Young Guns also went 2-0 in pool play after a 15-3 win over GRIT and a 9-5 win over Luckies. The Kernersville Cyclones were also 2-0 in pool play with a 12-4 win over the GBC Prospects and a 9-6 win over Dirtbags VA Platinum. Finally, the Pfafftown Raiders were also 2-0 in pool play with a 9-7 win over GRIT and a 12-4 win over the Luckies. In the Gold bracket play-in games, the NC Young Guns scored a 7-1 win over Dirtbags VA Platinum while the Pfafftown Raiders notched a 7-4 win over the Cyclones. In the semifinals, the Young Guns topped the Carolina Red Sox – Jones 5-3 while the Summerfield Stars edged past the Raiders 4-3. In the finals, Summerfield completed their undefeated weekend with an 8-0 win over the NC Young Guns.

GRIT – Koonin went 1-0-1 on Saturday, tying Proehlific Power 2-2 and notching a 13-2 win over GBC Prospects – Tagliaferro. Proehlific Power notched a 12-4 win over GRIT in their other pool play game to also finish 1-0-1. GRIT scored a 12-5 win over GBC in their other pool play game. In bracket play, GRIT topped the power 10-4 and GRIT – Koonin scored a 9-3 win over the GBC Prospects. In the finals, GRIT was able to get the better of GRIT – Koonin and notched a 9-6 win to take home the 11u title.

NCBA Silver went 2-0 in pool play with a 21-1 win over Chico’s Bail Bonds and a 12-4 win over the NC young Guns. Carolina Rockies – Mayhew also went 2-0 in pool play with a 15-3 win over the Virginia Militia and a 10-9 win over the Dirtbags. The Triad Thunder was also 2-0 on Saturday, scoring a 14-6 win over the Diamond Deacons and an 11-7 win over GRIT. In the Gold bracket play-in game, GRIT topped the Virginia Tribe 12-3. In the semifinals, Rockies – Mayhew edged past the Thunder 8-7 while GRIT topped NCBA Silver 10-4. In the finals, Rockies – Mayhew scored a 13-2 win over GRIT.

Power Baseball was the only undefeated team in pool play in the 13u age group, scoring an 8-0 win over the GBC Prospects and a 6-4 win over Proehlific Power. The Prospects scored an 11-3 win over Proehlific Power in their other pool play game. New Market Select went 0-0-2 in pool play with a 4-4 tie against Sandlot Baseball and a 9-9 tie against NCBA Green. In the bracket play play-in games, the GBC Prospects scored a 5-2 win over Proehlific Power and New Market Select topped NCBA Green 8-5. In the semifinals, the GBC Prospects got past Sandlot Baseball with a 6-1 win while New Market Select rolled to a 16-0 win over Power Baseball. In the finals, New Market Select finished a comeback from a winless Saturday with a 13-1 win over the GBC Prospects.
