The USSSA Jay Criscione Super NIT is one of the biggest events of the fall season. 17 teams across 5 age groups will make the trip down to Lexington, South Carolina to face some of the best competition in the Southeast. Hopefully the weather holds off as these games will have significant impact on our first rankings of the fall season. Here we provide a brief preview of the teams in action this weekend.

Over 130 teams were in action this past weekend at the Top Gun site in Charlotte. Numerous teams who finished in the top 5 of our rankings across multiple age groups were in the fields this past weekend. There were several big wins and upsets. In addition, multiple high profile organization such as East Rowan, the Carolina Rockies, the Spartans, Reidsville Luckies, and Five Star Carolina had teams in action. 4 top 20 teams from last year, and two big time out-of-state teams in the 11u age group. 5 top 10 teams from our final 11u 2017-2018 rankings and the #2 team in our final 10u rankings last year in the 12u age group. Needless to say, the 11u and 12u fields were full of top-level talent this past weekend at the Perfect Game event in Greensboro. There were some tightly contested games, and excellent play. Perfect Game has a lights-out event in store for this weekend in Greensboro. With 4 of the top 20 10u teams from this past spring competing in the 11u age group, and 5 of the top 10 teams in the final 2017-2018 11u rankings (and the #2 1ou team from this past spring) competing in the 12u age groups, we should see some exciting baseball.
