Who are best baseball programs in NC?

We are blessed as parents, players, and coaches to live in a state like North Carolina when it comes to youth baseball. Baseball can be played outdoors for 10+ months per year and there is a wide variety of options available to pursue for travel baseball. From national organizations who put dozens of players into college each year, to local rec/all-star leagues and baseball “academies”, there are a multitude of options when considering where or for whom your child should play. But with the wide variety of options comes some difficult questions: cost, travel, commitment, professional or family coaching, friendships, etc. None of these questions are easy to answer, and with such a variety of options it may seem very difficult, at first, to know what is right for each child or family. We’d like to spotlight several of these organizations through the state of North Carolina, and offer insights into what makes each organization special. The hope is to highlight several organizations throughout the state and also provide a resource for parents who are considering the options for their child.

End of Fall Recap 13u 2017

The 13u age group was another age group that was very competitive at the top with several teams threatening for the #1 ranking through the fall. This is a difficult age group to rank because teams play in different pitching mound/base distances (54/80 vs. 60/90) and many teams play a good proportion of their games against 14u teams. In the end, however, we felt the Evoshield Canes NC – Gallaher was the clear #1 in this age group. Here we recap the highlights of the fall season for the 13u age group.

End of Fall Recap 12u 2017

Unlike some of the other age groups, the 12u age group is a very top-heavy age group with several teams having separated themselves from the rest of the age group. Notably, one of the top teams in this age group from this past Spring, Evoshield Canes NC – Harland, was not in action this fall. That allowed several teams to separate themselves a bit from the rest of the age group. In particular, East Rowan, Minion, and Legends Baseball appear to be the top teams in this age group, and East Rowan ended up our #1 after their performance at the Top Gun Winter World Series.
