There were a number of ranked teams in action at the USSSA sites across the state this past weekend, including at the 8u Beast of the East Super NIT, and the 9u Charlotte Super NIT. This lead to numerous games between top 10 and top 5 opponents. Here we review the past weekend of USSSA games across North Carolina.
Over 80 teams made the trip to the Charlotte area this past weekend for the USSSA Beast of the East Super NIT. This included 29 teams ranked in our North Carolina state rankings across the 10u-13u age groups. There were a host of matchups between ranked opponents, and nearly winner had to win one or more close games to get their title. Here we recap the Beast of the East games from this past weekend.
There were a number of top level teams who played outside North Carolina this past weekend. This included events such as the USSSA Super NIT in Atlanta, as well as Perfect Game events in Georgia and Florida. Three sites were in action this past weekend for Top Gun, including Goldsboro, Greensboro, and Charlotte. We are going to try something different with the USSSA recap from this past weekend. Because so many teams are in action at this, the recaps have become increasingly unwieldy to read and time-consuming to right. NCGameOn Sports had one site in action this past weekend in Clemmons. 8 ranked teams were in the fields across 5 age groups, and there were multiple contests between ranked opponents. Here we recap the games from Clemmons this past weekend.
Over 200 teams were in action across 3 Top Gun sites in North Carolina this past weekend. This included over two dozen ranked teams, and featured a number of games between ranked opponents as well as several between top-10 and top-5 teams. USSSA was able to get games in at the Charlotte site this past weekend, and there were no shortage of ranked teams in action. In total, 12 ranked teams from North Carolina and 2 from South Carolina took part in the fields in 4 age groups in Charlotte. Feels good to be doing a recap again. This past weekend, several teams from North Carolina made the trip down to Lake City, Florida to compete in the Perfect Game Battle of Lake City. This event, included nationally ranked in multiple age groups, and our #2 11u team (Park Sharon Nationals – Pirro), our #4 12u team (SBA Futures), and our #1 13u team (SBA Futures).
