NC GameOn Sports was able to complete their Mother's Day event in Wake Forest this past weekend without getting interrupted by rain. There were several ranked teams in action and many teams testing themselves playing up an age group. Here we recap the NC GameOn action from this past weekend.

North Carolina #17 NCDB Rivercats went 2-0 in pool play with a 15-9 win over the East Coast Copperheads and a 15-14 win over the Carolina Titans to secure a spot in the finals on Saturday. They faced off against GBI Express, who also went 2-0 with a 16-8 win over the Carolina Scrappers and a 9-6 win over the Youngsville Mayhem. In the finals, the NCDB Rivercats edged past GBI Express 14-13 to finish 3-0 for the day.

The Carolina Tide went 2-0 in pool play with a 7-4 win over Zone Select and a 13-12 win over NCABC Fungo and earned a spot in the finals. NCABC Fungo topped D1 Performance 7-6 in their other pool play game and also earned a spot in the finals. In the finals, NCABC Fungo notched a 16-9 win over Carolina Tide to avenge their pool play loss.

North Carolina 10u #15 Smash Baseball earned a spot in the finals with a 7-4 win over the HYAA Hawks and a 9-4 win over the South Wake Storm. They faced off against Carolina Armor Red, who posted a 15-4 win over the Diablos and a 9-8 win over the HYAA Hawks in their pool play games. In the finals, Smash Baseball edged past Carolina Armor Red 5-4 to take home the 11u title in Wake Forest this past weekend.

11u Squires Navy (VA) went 2-0 in pool play with an 11-0 win over the Wake Forest Renegades and a 13-2 win over the 11u Carolina Thunder and earned a spot in the finals. The Thunder topped the Renegades 9-5 in their other pool play to earn a spot in the finals as well. In the finals, the Thunder avenged their pool play loss with an 18-15 win over Squires Navy.

The River City Redbirds went 2-0 in pool play with a 19-0 win over the Carolina Dirtdawgs and a 14-0 win over 12u Rawlings Prospects. They faced off against the Carolina Stars in the finals after the Stars scored a 6-5 win over NCABC Fungo White and a 3-1 win over the 12u Dirt Devils. In the finals, the Redbirds finished off a 3-0 day with an 8-1 win over the Carolina Stars.
