The early spring season continues to heat up, and dozens of teams were in action at the Top Gun sites across the state. The 12u age group in the Triangle Region saw our first match up of a #1 and #2 team with Rawlings Prospects NC and Canes Baseball NC - Foster going head-to-head for a title. Here we recap the weekend of games from across the Top Gun events.

The #13 team in North Carolina, CBA Copperheads Black, went 2-0 in pool play with a 6-5 win over the #2 team in South Carolina, the Carolina Reds, and a 19-4 win over the Carolina Hammerheads in pool play. The Reds rolled to a 25-4 win over the DB Raptors in their other pool play game. In the #4/5 play-in game on Sunday, the Hammerheads edged the Carolina Red Devils 14-12. In the semifinals, the Copperheads blasted their way to a 17-1 win over the Hammerheads and the Reds notched a 20-5 win over DB Raptors. In the finals, the Reds got their revenge on the Copperheads with an 8-7 win.

The #3 team in North Carolina, the Triple Crown Lookouts earned the #1 seed for Sunday with a 14-4 win over the Belmont Bandits and a 14-0 win over DDB. Union County Crush - Gadd scored the #2 seed after an 18-3 win over On Deck O's Pineville and a 7-1 win over On Deck O's Weddington. In the semifinals on Sunday, the Triple Crown Lookouts scored a 14-3 win over Elite 9 (SC) and Crush - Gadd got past Elite Baseball EBC with a 7-3 win. In the finals, Union County Crush - Gadd finished off a 4-0 weekend with a 10-6 win over the Triple Crown Lookouts.

The Piedmont Militia went 3-0 on Sunday with a 10-4 win over On Deck O's Orange, an 8-3 win over the Carolina Reapers, and a 6-5 win over On Deck O's Orange in the finals.
Two-day
Our #15 team in North Carolina, the Carolina Bearcats, was in action this weekend in Charlotte. They earned the #1 seed in the Gold bracket with a 15-0 win over CBA Copperheads White and an 11-1 win over On Deck O's Black. MARA Travel got the #2 seed with a 12-3 win over the Outlaws and a 15-0 win over DDB. DB Raptors - Justin earned the #3 seed with a 10-6 win over On Deck O's Black and a 9-8 win over the LKN Hurricanes. In the Gold bracket semifinals, DB Raptors - Justin notched an 11-3 win over MARA Travel and the LBC Spartans edged the Bearcats 11-10. In the finals, DB Raptors - Justin finished off an undefeated weekend with a 12-4 win over the LBC Spartans.

The North division was a one-day event. Our #16 team in North Carolina, CBA Copperheads Red, finished 2-1 for the day and a Silver bracket title after a 13-4 win over On Deck O's Weddington and a 6-4 loss against Fury Baseball (SC) in pool play, and a 19-3 win over Aces - Hartsell in the Silver bracket final. Fury Baseball took home the Gold bracket title with a 12-2 win over the Mooresville Legends in addition to their win over the Copperheads in pool play. They scored a 19-2 win over the LBC Hammerheads in the Gold bracket final.
South
The South division was also a one-day event in Charlotte. The Belmont Bandits earned a spot in the finals with an 11-3 win over Team Carolina and a 10-2 win over On Deck O's Orange in pool play. They were met by Team 24 Gamecocks - Comer (SC) who blanked Belmont Bandits - McCarn 10-0 and edged Dirtbags Charlotte 5-2 in pool play. Team 24 took home the title with a 10-2 win over the Belmont Bandits in the Gold bracket finals.

WCW Black finished 4-0 for the weekend to take home the 13u title in Charlotte this past weekend. On Saturday, they notched a 12-10 win over 12u #23 Athletes Lab 2025/2026 and a 10-2 win over the DB Raptors. On Sunday, WCW Black again defeated Athletes lab, this time by the score of 8-2. They followed that up with a 5-4 win over Vision Red in the finals.

The Bandits notched a 6-5 win over Aces - Edwards and a 4-3 win over the MP Tigers while the Senators scored a 7-2 win over Rocky River Rage and a 7-5 win over Aces - Edwards. Stewards of the Game Muddawgs went 1-0-1 with a 13-5 win over the MP Tigers and a 4-4 tie against Mission Baseball Black.

Our #6 team in North Carolina, Area Stars Orange, went 4-0 this weekend in Fayetteville. They notched a 16-0 win over Team Ghost Baseball and a 17-7 win over Southern Impact (SC) in pool play. On Sunday, Area Stars Orange topped Southern Impact 10-2 in the semifinals and an 8-6 win over the Lugnuts in the finals.

In the semifinals, East Carolina Bombers 252 edged Dirtbags East 14-13 and the RailRoaders rolled to a 19-3 win over the FV Wildcats. In the finals, the RailRoaders finished off a 4-0 weekend with a 15-4 win over East Carolina Bombers 252.

Our #2 team in North Carolina, Dirtbags Black, was in the 10u field this past weekend in the Triangle Region along with two other ranked teams - #5 NCABC Fungo - Piscorik and #21 Area Stars Orange. This division was contested as a 5-team single round robin event. Dirtbags Black took home the title, going 4-0 overall for the weekend. They notched a 10-0 win over Fungo - Piscorik, a 13-3 win over Area Stars Orange, a 13-3 win over the Carolina Freedom, and a 9-1 win over NC Heat. Fungo - Piscorik finished 3-1 overall, notching a 13-6 win over the NC Heat, a 14-5 win over Area Stars Orange, and an 11-1 win over the Carolina Freedom in addition to their loss to the Dirtbags. Area Stars Orange finished 1-3 with a 23-3 win over the NC Heat and an 8-5 loss against the Carolina Freedom in addition to their losses to the Dirtbags and Fungo - Piscorik.

The 12u age group featured our top two teams in the 12u age group, #1 Rawlings Prospects NC and #2 Canes Baseball NC -Foster, as well as #22 Carolina Titans - Ambrose. Canes - Foster earned the top seed for Sunday with a dominate showing on Saturday, scoring a 27-2 win over the South Wake Storm and a 17-1 win over Carolina 35's 2026. Carolina Titans - Ambrose scored the #2 seed after going 1-1 on Saturday, falling 2-1 against Rawlings Prospects NC and scoring a 14-0 win over Area Stars Orange. Rawlings finished 1-1 on Saturday, falling 6-5 against Area Stars Orange in addition to their win over Titans - Ambrose, and earned the #3 seed. In the #4/5 seed play-in game, Area Stars Orange scored a 7-5 win over the South Wake Storm. In the semifinals, Canes - Foster rolled to a 19-4 win over Area Stars Orange and the Rawlings Prospects notched an 11-5 win over Titans - Ambrose. In an outstanding finals game, Canes - Foster edged Rawlings Prospects NC 3-2 to finish 4-0 for the weekend.
