AAU Preview 4/28-4/29/18

It will be a lighter weekend of play at the AAU sites this weekend. Nevertheless, there will be several top 10 and 20 teams in action, as well as numerous teams who are right on the cusp of a top 20 spot. It should be a competitive weekend of play so take a look at our preview of the action ahead.

Clemmons

10u

There will be a 10-team field in Clemmons this weekend in the 10u age group. Proehlific Power is in the field this weekend and will take on the Diamond Deacons and Spartans – Speaks on Saturday. The Ltown Lightning will also be in the field and will take on Big Cats Baseball and 9u #18 Carolina Red Sox – Jones. The Red Sox will also face Spartans – Speaks in pool play.

11u

Black Mambas will be playing in the 6-team 11u age group in Clemmons this weekend. They’ll face Spartans – Hutchens and the Statesville Sluggers in pool play. SBA Canes – Pickard will also be in action taking on State Line Pride and Select Baseball on Saturday.

12u

12 teams will be in the 12u field this weekend in Clemmons. PBC, coming off an AAU tournament win two weeks ago in Clemmons, will be in the field and will face Cougars Baseball and Athlete’s Warehouse on Saturday. The Carolina Voodoo, currently 6th in the AAU 12u points race, will take on the Diamond Deacons and Hutters in pool play.

13u

#7 Dirtbags – Smith will take on the Carolina Blaze and #11 Carolina Havoc – Clonch in pool play. The Havoc will also face the Diamond Deacons on Saturday. The VA Dirtbags are also in the field and will take on the Carolina Blaze and the Diamond Deacons in pool play.

 

Morehead City

10u

There will be a 3-team, double round-robin event with the Carteret County Patriots, Extreme 9u, and the Wayne County Ripperz in the field this week.

 

Oxford

9u

Dirtbags Gold, D1 Performance, the North Raleigh Knights, and the Carolina Flash will face off this weekend in Oxford. The Dirtbags and the Clash will both face D1 Performance and the Knights in pool play.

10u

Recently ranked NCDB Rivercats will look to get back on track this weekend in Oxford, taking on the Southside Panthers (VA) and the Star City Blaze (VA). The North Wake Elite, who have been competitive amongst some good competition this spring, will also face the Panthers and the Blaze this Saturday.

11u

14 teams will be in action in the 11u age group in Oxford this weekend. #20 Dirtbags East will take on Zone Select and D1 Performance in pool play. Recently ranked Carolina Titans Blue will also be in action and will face the HYAA Hawks and the Rawlings Prospects on Saturday. The North Wake Shockwave will go against the Zebulon Cougars and Purpose Driven North in their pool play games.
