There was some great action this weekend at the Top Gun events in Fayetteville, Goldsboro, and Indian Trail. Several all star teams made their first appearances this spring and should shake things up over the next several weeks. 16 teams made up the 11u field in Fayetteville this past weekend. The HM Kings earned the top seed after a 10-0 win over the Raptors and an 11-1 win over the OC Sluggers. The #2 seed went to NSA 06 Elite who scored a 16-0 win over the Carolina Stars and an 18-3 win over the North Wake Avalanche. The Sandhills Xplosion earned the #3 seed with an 11-2 win over the Carolina Stars and an 8-2 win over the 10u Walkoff Warriors. In the play-in games, the Sandhills Stingrays topped the Diamond Dawgs 6-5 and Lumberton Baseball defeated the Sandhills Xplosion 19-0. In the semifinals, the HM Kings edged the Sandhills Stingrays 9-8 and Lumberton Baseball topped NSA 06 Elite 9-2. In the finals, the Kings scored a 14-4 win over Lumberton Baseball.

NSA/Cepeda Bulls went 2-0 on Saturday with a 7-1 win over the NSA Stealerz and a 22-0 over Area Stars - Burton. CDP - Derick also went 2-0 on Saturday with a 20-0 win over CB Legends and a 13-2 win over the NSA Stealerz. In the play-in game, the NSA Stealerz scored a 15-0 win over the CB Legends. In the semifinals, CDP - Derick scored a 12-5 win over Area Stars - Burton and NSA/Cepeda Bulls scored a 15-1 win over the Stealerz. In the finals, NSA/Cepeda Bulls topped CDP - Derick 6-5.

#16 NCDB Rivercats went 2-0 on Saturday with a 17-2 win over West Raleigh Red and a 9-3 win over Rock Solid Red and earned the #1 seed for bracket play. West Raleigh Red also scored a 15-14 over Rock Solid Red in their other pool play game and earned the #4 seed in bracket play. GBI Express earned the #2 seed after a 13-4 win over the North Wake Warriors and a 10-3 win over CCR. In the play-in games, West Raleigh Red scored a 12-11 win over Rock Solid Red and North Wake Warriors scored a 15-0 win over CCR. In the semifinals, West Raleigh Red edged NCDB 7-6 and GBI Express topped the North Wake Warriors 8-5. In the finals, West Raleigh Red scored another 1-run win with an 8-7 win over GBI Express.

PITT413 went 2-0 on Saturday with a 20-2 win over the JoCo Spartans and a 12-9 win over Raleigh Rogue and earned the #2 seed. The Cleveland Wildcats earned the #1 seed with a 20-2 win over the Wayne County Arsenal - Futures and a 19-8 win over the Carolina Rampage. In Gold bracket play, PITT413 topped 8u #11 Dirtbags East 18-8 and the Cleveland Wildcats scored a 13-3 win over the JoCo Spartans. In the finals, PITT413 topped the Cleveland Wildcats 12-10.

The Carolina Wood Ducks earned the top seed for bracket play with a 12-2 win over Rock Solid Blue and a 10-9 win over the Wendell Sluggers. The Bomb Squad earned the #2 seed with a 9-5 win over the Wendell Sluggers and a 7-6 win over the OC Sluggers. The OC Sluggers topped the North Wake Rough Riders 10-3 in their other pool play game. In the play-in games, the Wendell Sluggers topped the North Wake Rough Riders 12-5 and OC Sluggers scored a 1-run win over Rock Solid Blue with a 12-11 victory. In the semifinals, the Wood Ducks scored a 9-8 win over the Wendell Sluggers and the OC Sluggers notched an 8-2 win over Bomb Squad. In the finals, the OC Sluggers were able to notch a 10-6 win over Carolina Wood Ducks.

#17 Piedmont Panthers went 2-0 on Saturday with a 24-4 win over the MCOC Miners and a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs. Copperheads - Duke went 0-2 on Saturday with a 14-8 loss to the MCOC Miners and a 16-1 loss to the Bulldogs. In bracket play, the Bulldogs topped the MCOC Miners 16-6 and the Panthers scored a 16-8 win over Copperheads - Duke. In the finals, the Panthers edged out the Bulldogs for an 8-7 win.

Previously ranked Aces - Edwards went 2-0 on Saturday with an 11-3 win over Crush - Henry and a 14-12 win over the Kannapolis Cannons. The Concord Comets went 1-1 on Saturday with an 11-3 win over Crush - Henry and a 12-1 loss to the Kannapolis Cannons. The Comets did not play on Sunday. In the bracket play seed #2/3 game, the Cannons topped Crush - Henry 9-1. In the finals, Aces - Edwards scored an 8-7 win over the Kannapolis Cannons.

In bracket play, the Pro-Fit Spartans topped the Gold Hill Miners 11-6 and the South Carolina Predators scored a 9-5 win over Weddington Academy. In the finals, the South Carolina Predators notched a 12-3 win over the Pro-Fit Spartans.
