NCGameOn Sports had one site in action this past weekend in Clemmons. 8 ranked teams were in the fields across 5 age groups, and there were multiple contests between ranked opponents. Here we recap the games from Clemmons this past weekend.

The #7 team in North Carolina, the DC Vipers, headlined the 8u field in Clemmons this past weekend, and they lived up to the billing. The Vipers went 2-0 on Saturday with a 9-1 win over the Carolina Falcons and an 18-3 win over Camel City. This earned the Vipers the top seed from pool B. The top seed from pool A went to Carolina Rockies - Bullard after they posted a 14-4 win over Rogue - Smith and a 9-0 win over Summerfield Stars - Clendenon. In the bracket play-in games on Sunday, Rogue Smith topped Camel City 12-4 and the Summerfield Stars rolled to a 10-4 win over the Falcons. In the semifinals, the DC Vipers scored an 8-2 win over Rogue - Smith and the Rockies notched a 9-3 win over the Summerfield Stars. In the finals, the DC Vipers finished off a 4-0 weekend with a 13-3 win over Carolina Rockies - Bullard.

North Carolina's #8 Carolina Naturals and #11 Spartans - Mullins were the highest ranked teams in the 9u field this past weekend in Clemmons. It was GBC, however, who made the biggest splash on Saturday earning the top seed for Sunday with a 10-7 win over Spartans - Mullins and a 4-0 win over the Carolina Naturals. The Naturals earned the #2 seed with a 15-7 win over the Pfafftown Raiders in their other pool play game. The Spartans slipped into the 3rd seed after they defeated Carolina Rockies Purple 11-7 in their other pool play game. In the #4/5 play-in game on Sunday, Spartans - Mullins rolled to a 12-2 win over the Pfafftown Raiders. In the semifinals, the Spartans topped GBC 9-4 and the Naturals edged the Rockies 10-9. In the finals, Spartans - Mullins finished off a 3-1 weekend with a 13-7 win over the Carolina Naturals.

The #8 team in North Carolina, Carolina Rockies - Sullivan, and the #9 team, HPT HiToms, were the highest ranked teams in the field this weekend. The HiToms earned the top seed with a 6-5 win over Carolina Rockies - Sullivan and a 12-11 win over Lincoln County River Rats. The Rockies scored a 15-9 win over the GBC Prospects and earned the #3 seed for Sunday. In the #4/5 play-in game on Sunday, the GBC Prospects rolled to an 18-1 win over Carolina Rockies - Jarrell. In the semifinals, Carolina Rockies - Sullivan scored a 10-2 win over the River Rats and the HiToms blasted their way to a 17-2 win over the GBC Prospects to set up a match up of ranked teams in the finals. This one turned out to be one of the most exciting games of the weekend. The Rockies, batting in the home half, got out to a 10-6 lead through 3 innings, but gave up 8 runs in the top half of the 4th inning to fall behind 14-10. They scored 3 of their own runs in the bottom half of the 4th, only to give up 4 more runs in the top of the 5th inning to head into the last half inning down 18-13. They hit a grand slam to bring it to 18-17, plated another run on a ground out, and finished off the game with a 2-run walk off homerun to win by the final score of 20-18 in one of the wildest games of 2020.

North Carolina's #11 team, the Summerfield Stars, and NC's #13 team, Carolina Rockies - Stanton, were the highest ranked teams in the 11u field in Clemmons. Rockies - Stanton scored the #1 seed in pool B with a 10-3 win over Five Star Carolina - Lance and a 4-2 win over Hutters. Carolina Rockies - Doub earned the #1 seed in pool A with a 13-0 win over Pfafftown Raiders 2027 and a 14-7 win over the Summerfield Stars. The Stars earned the #3 seed in pool A after finishing 0-2 on Saturday following a 9-6 loss against Pfafftown, in addition to their loss to Rockies - Doub. In the play-in games, the Pfafftown Raiders scored an 8-3 win over Five Star - Lance, and the Summerfield Stars notched a 14-8 win over Hutters. In the semifinals, Rockies - Stanton edged Pfafftown 8-7, and Summerfield scored their own 1-run win with an 8-7 win over Carolina Rockies - Doub. In the finals, the Summerfield Stars bounced all the way back from an 0-2 Saturday with a 5-0 win over Rockies - Stanton.

Our #20 team in North Carolina, the L-town Lightning, were the lone ranked team in the 12u field in Clemmons. They dominated on Saturday, earning the top seed for bracket play with an 8-2 win over Rockies Baseball, and an 11-2 win over 11u MVP Red. DSB Carolina Bullfrogs scored the #2 seed with a 9-0 win over Spartans - Speaks and a a 7-6 loss against Rockies Baseball in pool play. In the #4/5 play-in game, MVP Red blasted their way to an 11-2 win over Spartans - Speaks. In the semifinals, the Bullfrogs edged Rockies Baseball 3-2 while the Lightning got past 11u MVP Red 6-5. In the finals, the L-town Lightning finished off a 4-0 weekend with an 11-8 win over DSB Carolina Bullfrogs.
