There were a few of our top 20 teams in action at the Oxford site this weekend, and they did not disappoint. It was a great weekend for the FV Wildcats as both their 8u and 10u teams took home titles this weekend. 13u #9 Dirtbags - Smith was also impressive on their way to a 4-0 weekend. 5 teams played a single round-robin event in the Wood Bat State Championship this past weekend in the 10u age group in Kinston. Dirtbags East Gold scored a 20-0 win over the Wayne County Arsenal Stars and an 11-1 win over the Carteret County Patriots on Saturday. The Patriots topped the New Bern Flames 6-5 in their other game on Saturday. On Sunday, Dirtbags East Gold again went 2-0 with a 6-2 win over the New Bern Flames, who finished 1-3 for the weekend, and a 13-3 win over the Wayne County Ripperz to finish 4-0 for the weekend. The Carteret County Patriots finished 3-1 for the weekend with a 15-6 win over the Arsenal Stars, who finished 2-2 for the weekend, and a 9-1 win over the Wayne County Ripperz, who finished 0-4 for the weekend, on Sunday.

On Saturday, the New Bern Flames scored a 12-0 win over the 11u DC Boys and a 5-1 win over Gettin Dirty. The Carolina Titans Blue also scored two wins on Saturday with an 18-1 win over the 11u DC Boys and a 7-2 win over Gettin Dirty. On Sunday, the Carolina Titans Blue notched a 4-3 win over Getting Dirty and a 15-9 win over the New Bern Flames to finish 4-0 for the weekend. New Bern beat Gettin Dirty 6-5 in their other Sunday game and finished 3-1 for the weekend. The 11u Cleveland Wildcats played a double-header on Sunday against the 11u DC Boys and scored a 3-1 win and an 8-5 win over the DC Boys.

#6 Reidsville Luckies went 2-0 on Saturday with a 15-4 win over the Virginia Squires and a 20-3 win over the HYAA Hawks. The Squires topped the FV Wildcats 17-9 in their other pool play game, while the Wildcats scored a 12-1 win over the HYAA Hawks in their game on Saturday. In bracket play, the Wildcats notched a 9-4 win over the Squires while the Luckies rolled to a 15-5 win over the Hawks. In the finals, the FV Wildcats were able to knock off the Luckies with a 12-9 win.

The North Wake Force went 2-0 on Saturday with an 8-7 win over D1 Performance and a 13-3 win over the Carolina Armor. D1 scored an 18-4 win over the Orange County Crushers while the Armor fell 11-3 against the Crushers in their other Saturday games. In the semifinals on Sunday, the Crushers topped D1 Performance 11-8 while the Armor scored an 8-6 win over the Force. In the finals, the Armor completed the comeback from an 0-2 Saturday with a 9-8 win over the Crushers to take home the 9u title.

#16 FV Wildcats were the favorite in the 10u field this weekend and didn't disappoint going 2-0 on Saturday with a 6-5 win over the Carolina Armor Blue and a 13-3 win over the North Wake Elite. The Elite topped the Southside Panthers 8-7 and the Armor scored an 11-4 win over D1 Performance in their other pool play games. The Southside Panthers also topped D1 Performance 15-7 in pool play. In the play-in game on Sunday, North Wake Elite scored a 13-0 win over D1 Performance. In the semfinals, the Carolina Armor Blue notched a 15-5 win over the Southside Panthers while the FV Wildcats rolled to a 16-5 win over the North Wake Elite. In the finals, the Wildcats continued with their hot bats and dominated their way to a 22-0 win over Carolina Armor Blue.

Zone Select went 2-0 on Saturday with a 5-2 win over the HYAA Hawks and a 14-13 win over D1 Performance. The Virginia Squires also went 2-0 on Saturday, notching a 5-0 win over the Carolina Outlaws and a 13-2 win over the Diamond Strikers. Purpose Driven North went 2-0 in their pool play games on Saturday with a 13-5 win over the Diamond Strikers and an 11-6 win over the Roanoke Rapids All Stars. In the Gold bracket play-in games, the HYAA hawks topped the Roanoke Rapids All Stars 17-2 and the Carolina Armor knocked off Zone Select 7-4. In the semifinals, Purpose Driven North scored a tight 3-1 win over the Armor while the Squires edged the Hawks 9-8. In the finals, Purpose Driven North completed an undefeated weekend with a 5-4 win over the Virginia Squires.

YJC was also 2-0 on Saturday with a 4-3 win over the CBC Blue Sox and a 10-4 win over the Rox City Bombers. In the quarterfinal games, GBI Express Black topped the HYAA Hawks 9-6, YJC notched a 10-0 win over the Virginia Squires, and the Blue Sox scored an 11-1 win over the Rox City Bombers. Dirtbags Smith received a bye into the semifinals and scored an 11-1 win over GBI Express Black in their semifinal game. YJC was able to hang on for a 6-5 win over over the CBC Blue Sox in the other semifinal game. In the finals, Dirtbags Smith completed an undefeated weekend with a 9-1 win over YJC.
