There will be over a dozen of ranked teams in action this weekend at the AAU sites. There should be some great action with some big time match ups. Here’s a preview of the weekend’s games.
Clemmons
8u
#5 Carolina Vandals and #8 Spartans – Allen headline the 5-team field in Clemmons. These two will go head-to-head in pool play. The Vandals will also take on the Pilot Mountain Dirtbags while the Spartans will face the Carolina Impact in their other pool play game.
9u
#13 SW Colts will be in action this weekend and will take on the Bulldogs and the Pilot Mountain Dirtbags in their pool play games. The Pfafftown Raiders will also be in action and take on the Dirtbags and GRIND in pool play.
10u
There will be one ranked team in the 8-team 10u field in Clemmons this weekend. #11 Rawlings Stars are the highest ranked team in the 10u field this weekend. They’ll face the Phoenix Elite and the Pilot Mountain Dirtbags in pool play.
11u
There will be two pools of three teams that will each play a round robin in pool play. Pool A consists of Copperheads – Rowland, the Pilot Mountain Dirtbags, and Dirtbags Camo. Pool B consists of Rawlings Stars, East Rowan, and Colts – Chappell.

There are no ranked teams in the 12-team 12u field in Clemmons this weekend. Sandlot Baseball will look to follow up on their runner-up finish two weeks ago in Clemmons. They’ll face 4G3 Training Facility and the SW Colts in pool play. Current NCGameonSports/AAU 12u points leader Phoenix Elite is also in the field and will face the NCBA Royals and Power Baseball in pool play.

The 7-team 13u field in Clemmons will be lead by #7 Dirtbags – Smith. They’ll take on Rockies – Tuttle and Phoenix Elite in their pool play games.
Oxford/Roxboro

Three of our top 15 including #6 Reidsville Luckies, #7 Youngsville Phantoms, and #15 FV Wildcats will be in the 8u field this weekend in Oxford. The Luckies will face the Carolina Storm Surge and the Granville Rays in their pool play games. The Phantoms will take on the HYAA Hawks and the Virginia Squires in their pool play games, while the Wildcats will take on North Wake Fungo and D1 Performance in pool play.

#5 Carolina Titans will be in action and be the odds-on favorite in the 9u age groups this weekend. They’ll face the Hawks and the Carolina Tide in pool play.
10u
The 10u age group has shaped up to be an excellent field in Oxford/Roxboro this weekend. The field includes #14 Alamance Patriots, #15 Carolina Thunder, as well as other tough competitors including the North Wake Elite, Carolina Outlaws, the Carolina Titans, and the Carolina Armor Blue. The Patriots will face the OC Crushers and the Carolina Outlaws in pool play, while the Thunder will take on North Wake Elite and the Wendell Sluggers in their pool play games. Only the top 7 seeds of this 13-team division will make Gold bracket play so these pool play games are going to be very important in terms of runs allowed for teams that finish 1-1 in pool play.

There are no ranked teams in the 11u age group this weekend, however the field does include some teams knocking on the door of the top 20 including the Roxboro Crusaders and the Alamance Angels. The Crusaders will face the Phoenix Elite and the Diamond Strikers in pool play, while the Angels are matched up against the OC Crushers and the Carolina Outlaws in their pool play games.

#13 Carolina Naturals will look to bounce back from an 0-2 weekend playing 14u last weekend as they will take on the HYAA Hawks and GBI Express Black in pool play this weekend. Previously ranked Youngsville Intimidators will also be in the field and will face the West Raleigh Skeeters and the Rox City Bombers in their pool play games.
