  3. Five Star Tigers - Shelton

The Tigers were a bit of a confusing team to follow, playing predominately 14u competition throughout the year. However, it appears their roster differed slightly against 13u and 14u competition, bringing in some 14u players when playing up. This is not a problem in and of itself, but it does make it a bit difficult to accurately rank the team as their team could be different from weekend to weekend. In the end, we settled on #8 after the Tigers went 18-5-2 this spring and 33-8-2 overall this past year. This included 7 wins over top 20 teams including wins over #2 Dirtbags TBM, #6 Carolina Rockies - Wilson, #9 HiToms Baseball (x3), #16 Sanford Cobras, and #18 Carolina Titans Blue.

  5. Canes Baseball NC - Turner

The Canes from Charlotte went up some of the very best competition in North Carolina all year. They had an overall record of 39-28 this past year, including a 20-18 record this spring. Among their 39 wins, Canes - Turner had 6 wins over top 20 teams including wins over #3 Five Star Carolina - Smith, #5 Dirtbags MVP (x2), #11 Athlete's Warehouse, #13 Team Elite American, #18 Carolina Titans Blue.

  1. Athlete's Warehouse

Athlete's Warehouse posted an overall record of 51-19-1 across Top Gun and USSSA competition this past year. Although they didn't consistently face off against the competition in the state as much as the teams in front of them, Athlete's Warehouse was still very impressive overall. They did score a win over #6 Carolina Rockies - Wilson and a tie against #5 Dirtbags MVP to lend credence to their inclusion in our 13u rankings.

  2. TPA Nationals - Christman

The Nationals were another team who routinely faced off against the best competition in North Carolina. They went 17-18 this spring and 23-25 overall this past year. While at first glance this may not appear to be the resume of a top 12 team in North Carolina, a deeper dive into their performance might suggest otherwise. The Nationals had 11 total victories over top 20 teams this past year (#2 Dirtbags TBM, #3 Five Star Carolina - Smith, #6 Carolina Rockies - Wilson, #13 Team Elite American [x2], #16 Sanford Cobras, #17 East Coast Clippers, and #20 Dirtbags Black Raleigh [x3]). 5. New Bern Flames

As best we can tell, the Flames were 18-13-1 across Perfect Game and Top Gun competition this past year.
