On Sunday, Legends defeated the Thunder 8-1 to finish 3-0 in pool play. Canes - Harland also finished 3-0 in pool play with an 8-2 win over the Myrtle Beach Rays. The Rockies finished 2-1 in pool play with a 14-6 win over the Carolina Red Sox and qualified for the semifinals. Canes - Whitted fell 9-6 against the Sanford Cobras to finish 1-1-1 and qualified for the semifinals. West Raleigh Blue topped Majestic Greensboro 9-2 in their finals pool play game but failed to reach the semifinals.
In the first semifinal, Legends Baseball jumped out to a 6-2 lead through 3 innings over the Carolina Rockies. The Rockies battled back with 3 runs in the 4th and 1 in the 5th to tie the game at 6-6 heading into the 6th inning. In the top of the 6th, the Rockies were able to push a run across to take a 7-6 lead, however the Legends scored two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to take an 8-7 win over the Carolina Rockies. The other semifinals was equally exciting as Canes - Harland got down 7-1 to Canes - Whitted heading into the bottom half of the 3rd inning. Canes - Harland scored 3 in the 3rd and 4 runs in the 5th inning to head to the 6th inning tied at 8. In the top half of the 6th inning, Canes - Harland held Canes - Whitted scoreless as they headed to the home half of the 6th. In the bottom half, Canes - Harland was able to push across one run to take a 9-8 win and head to the finals. In the finals, Legends and Canes - Harland played a tight game with Legends eventually pulling out a 6-3 win.
