10u End of Season Rankings Recap 2019-2020

The 10u age groups witnessed one of the most dominate seasons by any team in any age group this season with the performance of #1 SBA Futures. They were followed closely but other nationally competitive teams (Dirtbags Black, Fungo - Piscorik) and perhaps more than any other age groups, the top 10-15 teams separated themselves from the rest of the age group. Here we recap a great year in the 10u age group.

  1. SBA Futures
The SBA Futures put together perhaps the most dominate season by any team in any age group in North Carolina this past year. They finished 3rd in Perfect Game's 10u National Rankings after going 41-12 on the year. Along the way, they scored wins over teams who finished #1, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 17, 32, 55, and 60 in PG’s national rankings. They also had a win over 11u national #15, Park Sharon Nationals - Pirro. Within North Carolina, the Futures scored wins over #2 Dirtbags Black, #3 NCABC Fungo - Piscorik, #4 LBC Swarm, #6 NCDB Rivercats Sandlot, and #18 Summerfield Stars, and did not lose a single game to an in-state 10u opponent. They had 15 total wins against 11u competition and 5 wins against 12u competition. Of their losses, only two came at the hands of 10u teams, and those teams were ranked #2 (Traction Canes Black [LA]) and #4 (MVP Hustle - Ruiz [CA]) in PG's national rankings. We've heard rumors about older guest players playing with this group when they play up, but that takes nothing away from what this group has done against 10u competition nationally, where they have been absolutely dominate.
