It will be a big weekend for USSSA this weekend, especially in the Charlotte region as there will be some heavyweights in action. This includes the #1 12u team in the nation, the TX/FL Canes, who will make the trip to Charlotte for the weekend. Here we preview some of the best teams and games on the slate for the upcoming weekend.

The SBA Nationals, SBA Americans, and South Carolina's #4 team, Jr. Mavz Red, will go head-to-head on Saturday in Charlotte. They'll be back on Sunday, in addition to the Pineville Blue Sox and the MARA Mayhem for round robin play.

The 9u Majors division in Charlotte will feature some of the best teams in North Carolina, including #1 SBA Futures, #2 Mission Baseball Mavericks, #4 SBA Rowan, #5 Dirtbags Black, as well as South Carolina's #1 team, Dirtbags Carolina (formerly the Carolina Reds). There will be some great games in pool play as the Futures and Dirtbags Black will face off. Mission Mavericks will go against Dirtbags Carolina on Saturday as well in what should be a great game.

5 teams will be in the field in the 10u Majors division in Charlotte this weekend. This includes #1 SBA Futures, #2 SBA Rowan Prospects, #8 MARA Cobras, as well as high quality North Lincoln Destroyers and SBA Titans teams. It won't take long to see the marquee matchup this weekend, as the Futures and Rowan Prospects will go head-to-head at 1pm on Saturday. The Futures will also face off against the MARA Cobras in pool play.

Although there will not be a specified Majors division in Charlotte this weekend, there will still be some outstanding teams in play. The field will be led by #18 SBA Americans who will face off against the Stanly County Stars and the Cabarrus Bandits in pool play.

8 teams are in action in the 12u Majors division in Charlotte this weekend. This includes our #1 team in the Nation, TX/FL Canes Elite. These guys have been nearly unbeatable this year, and will come into this event having recently won titles at the Perfect Game East Winter Championship and the Florida Select Championship. They'll be up against the LBC Thunder and Delaware Rockets (DE) in pool play. The #1 team in North Carolina, the SBA Futures, will also be in this field. They will face also face the LBC Thunder and Delaware Rockets in pool play in what has to be one of the worst pool play draws in USSSA history for both the Thunder and Rockets. #4 SBA Nationals will take on #7 Union County Crush - Walker and the SBA Senators in their pool play games. #9 5 Star Carolina Elite is also in this field, and will also face Union County Crush and the SBA Senators in their pool play game.

Although no ranked teams will be in the field this weekend in the 13u age group in Charlotte, several really strong teams will be in action including Red Clay Athletics, Aces - Edwards, and Forbes Baseball Academy (VA).
