Hit and Run Select Travel Baseball Tryouts

Hit and Run Select is a travel baseball team out of the southern Wake County region and are looking to add a few players. Tryouts will be held Wednesday, August 19th at Harnett Central Middle School starting at 6:30pm. Please arrive early to stretch out. Hit and Run Select is currently coached by former MLB player, Quincy Latimore.

Quincy brings 13 years professional experience. He is from Apex, NC where he played at Middle Creek High School. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since then, Quincy has gone on to play with several other organizations including the Cleveland Indians, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has also played in Mexico, Australia and Columbia during the winter seasons. He has 1616 hits, 350 doubles, 219 home-runs, and 936 RBIs in his 13 seasons of baseball including winter ball.

NOTE: to be eligible, players cannot turn 15 prior to May 1, 2021

The team plans to participate in different baseball sanctions during the season.
