Some of the best teams in the state of North Carolina will be heading down to South Carolina this weekend to compete in the USSSA South Carolina Super NIT. This event features some of the best teams from South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee and should produce some exciting baseball. Canes Baseball NC – Gilchrist and Minion will both be going for another Super NIT championship this spring as teams continue to chase points and competition in preparation for the USSSA Demarini World Series this summer. Asheville Braves – Frye are the only North Carolina team in the 8u field this weekend. They’ll take on Bodyshop Baseball (SC) and Team 24 Gamecocks (SC) in their pool play games. The Braves bring in a record of 15-7-1 in USSSA play while Team 24 is 8-5 and Bodyshop is 2-19 in USSSA play. The G-town Pirates (SC) are also in the field this weekend. They are currently 23-5 and ranked 1st in South Carolina and 5th nationally in USSSA’s AA machine pitch power rankings.

SBA Canes Red will make the trip down to Lexington this weekend and will take on the FCA Blueclaws (FL) and the Ninth Inning Dodgers (GA) in pool play. The Blueclaws are 20-3 in USSSA play and ranked 4th in the state in USSSA’s FL Majors power rankings.

The 10u field will feature #1 Canes Baseball NC – Gilchrist, #2 SBA Canes – Marconi, #3 Port City Rebels, #5 Dirtbags Platinum, #10 Carolina Havoc, #18 Mission Vipers Black, and #19 Mission Vipers Gold. Canes Baseball NC – Gilchrist look to be one of the top teams in the field this weekend. They’ll face Team 24 Gamecocks – Bailey (SC) and the Augusta Reds (GA) in pool play. SBA Canes – Marconi will take on Predators Columbia NE and the Greenville Titans in their pool play games. Port City will go against Dirtbags Platinum and Mission Vipers Black in their pool play games. The Dirtbags will also go against the East Coast Snipers (SC) while Mission Black will face the Carolina Havoc in their other pool play game. East Coast Snipers will bring an 11-1 USSSA record into this event, as well as the #3 rating in South Carolina in USSSA’s SC Majors power ranking. The Havoc will meet up against the East Coast Snipers in pool play as well. Mission Vipers Gold will go against PRO Prodigy (SC) and the Charleston Revolution (SC). The Revolution are 24-2 in USSSA play and currently ranked 3rd in USSSA’s SC AAA power rankings.

#5 Mission Vipers Gold, #6 Big Game 2025, #15 Rock Solid Red, and #16 Canes Baseball NC – Simpson will all be in the 11u field this weekend in Lexington. Mission Gold will face the East Cobb Astros (GA) and Rock Solid Red. The Astros are ranked 4th in USSSA’s GA Majors power rankings. In pool play, Rock Solid will also face Five Star Elite (GA), who are 17-1 in USSSA play and currently ranked 1st in USSSAs GA Majors power rankings and 8th nationally. Big Game will be taking on Mission Vipers Black and the Carolina Athletics in their two pool play games. Big Game is 1-0 against Mission Vipers Black in USSSA play as an 11u team, and 1-1 against the Athletics. Canes – Simpson will face Crusaders Baseball (TN) and Five Star Tigers Demarini. The Crusaders are 25-9-1 and currently ranked 2nd in USSSA’s TN Majors power rankings. Five Star Tigers Demarini (FL), who are the only team to beat Five Star in USSSA play this year, are 20-9-2 overall in USSSA play and currently ranked 1st in the USSSA FL Majors power rankings and 26th nationally.

#2 Minion, #12 SBA Canes – Mendez, #16 Rock Solid Red, and #18 Canes Baseball NC Charlotte will lead the North Carolina charge into South Carolina in the 12u age group. Minion will be looking for the second Super NIT title of the spring and 3rd overall as a 12u team this weekend. They’ll face L3 Force (SC) and Carolina Elite Gold in pool play. Canes – Mendez will take on Game On East (GA) and Stars and Stripes National (SC) in their pool play games. Rock Solid is matched up against CMSB Squeeze (GA) and Team 24 Gamecocks – Brown (SC). The Gamecocks are currently 26-9 in USSSA play and ranked 1st in the state in USSSA’s SC AAA power rankings. Canes Charlotte will face the Greenville Bombers (SC) and Green Sox (SC) in pool play. The Bombers hold the distinction of the only team to beat Minion twice as a 12u team and are 21-7 overall in USSSA play. The Green Sox are currently 20-3 in USSSA play and ranked 3rd in the state in USSSA’s SC AAA power rankings.
