Rain again wiped out baseball across the Triangle region, but there were still a number of games played across the state/region this weekend. In total, 12 teams ranked in North and South Carolina took the field this past Saturday in various Top Gun one-day events across the state. Here we recap the results from this past weekend.

The 16th ranked team in North Carolina, Union County Crush - Gadd, was in action of the Easter weekend and went 1-1 in pool play on Saturday, falling 9-2 against Dry Pond Baseball and topping the UCLA Cubs 16-3. Kings Mountain Storm went 2-0 in pool play to reach the finals, notching a 14-0 win over Elite Baseball EBC and a 17-2 win over the Gastonia Raptors. 8u #4 SBA Futures went 2-0 in pool play as well, scoring a 16-1 win over the Gastonia Raptors and a 6-4 win over Elite Baseball EBC to secure their spot in the finals. In the finals, Kings Mountain Storm secured a 7-3 win over the 8u Futures, to take home the title in this one-day event.

South Carolina #1 Team 24 Gamecocks - Ashley went 2-0 in pool play and reached the finals with a 10-0 win over Carolina Flight (EW) and a 7-0 win over the OTK Saints. They faced off against Team 24 Gameocks - Wilson (SC) in the finals, after Team 24 - Wilson topped the Venom Stars 12-2 and Carolina Flight (EW) 7-1. In the finals, Team 24 - Ashley finished off a 3-0 day with a 12-1 win over Team 24 - Wilson.

North Carolina #19 Athlete's Lab went 2-0 in pool play with an 11-2 win over DUBS Baseball and a 6-4 win over Spartans - Triplett and reached the Gold bracket finals. They matched up against the LBC Hammerheads, who scored a 12-2 win over the Gastonia Raptors and a 23-6 win over the SC Venom in their two pool play games. In the finals, Athlete's Lab notched a 9-7 win over the LBC Hammerheads to finish 3-0 for the day. Team 24 Gamecocks - Bailey (SC) also went 3-0 for the day, topping Team Carolina 7-3 and the DSA Bulldogs 6-5 in pool play, before scoring a 5-4 win over Aces - Hartsell in the Silver bracket finals.

NC #2 Canes Baseball NC - Simpson went 2-0 in pool play, notching dominate 13-3 and 12-0 win over SBA Canes Erwin and NC Stars, respectively, in pool play. In the finals, they matched up against China Grove, who scored a 13-2 win over Elite Baseball EBC and an 11-2 win over Five Star DK Heat in pool. In the finals, Canes - Simpson finished off another impressive weekend with a 9-1 win over China Grove.

The Black Mambas earned a spot in the finals, going 2-0 in pool play with a 7-1 win over Carolina Heat NC and a 9-2 win over the Bessemer City Mudcats. Carolina Heat NC was able to rebound and also earn a spot in the finals with a 14-1 win over Mayhem Baseball in their other pool play game. In the finals, the Black Mambas finished off a 3-0 weekend with a 7-4 win over Carolina Heat NC

South Carolina #3 Team 24 Gamecocks - Brown went 2-0 in this one-day event, scoring a 14-0 win over the Bulldogs and a 5-0 win over NC #10 Athlete's Warehouse. Athlete's Warehouse fell 5-1 against the Bulldogs in their other game on Saturday.
