Many of Sunday’s games were cancelled due to rain, but lots of baseball was still played at the Top Gun sites with several ranked teams in play. Here we recap the weekend’s top games.

Goonies Baseball and the NSA Bombers both wen 2-0 in this D3 field. Goonies scored wins over the the Richmond County Diamondbacks (13-5) and the NSA Braves (14-13), while the Bombers defeated the Diamondbacks (20-5) and the MVP Warriors by the score of 6-1.

The Richmond Rockies capped off an excellent weekend going 5-0 and winning the 10u championship in Fayetteville. They finished pool play 2-0 with a 13-8 win over Bomb Squad and a 17-3 win over Sandhills Stingrays Blue to earn the #3 seed for bracket play. The NSA Prospects earned the #1 seed by defeating Palmetto State Copperheads (19-5) and CDP – Derick (9-1) in pool play. The Carolina Fastboys also went 2-0 in pool play with a 19-4 win over the Fuquay Titans and a 14-4 win over the Palmetto State Copperheads and earned the #2 seed in bracket play. In bracket play, the Rockies beat Bomb Squad again (14-4), then topped the Fastboys (9-5) to earn a trip to the finals. In the other semifinal, it was the NSA Prospects over Hope Mills Vipers (10-9). In the finals, the Rockies rolled to a 12-2 win over the Prospects to win the championship.

The 11u age group did not play games on Sunday due to the rain. The NSA Thunder went 2-0 in pool play with a 23-5 win over Raptors Baseball, and a 15-4 win over the Sandhills Stingrays. The Carolina Raiders also went 2-0 on Saturday including a 15-4 win over the NSA Knights and a 14-7 win over Young Gunz. Finally, CDP – Derick was undefeated on Saturday scoring a 15-3 win over Raptors Baseball and a 12-11 win over the Carolina Pirates.

No games were played on Sunday in the 13u divisions. In the D2 tournament, CDP – Roper was the only undefeated team, going 2-0 with a 14-0 win over Heat Baseball and a 11-1 win over West Raleigh Warriors. In the D3 tournament, Tri-County Heat Baseball was the only undefeated team, going 2-0 with wins over the Red Raiders (8-0) and the NSA Stealerz (4-1).

The #4 Piedmont Panthers continued their dominate play this fall going 4-0 for the weekend and winning the championship in Charlotte. On Saturday the Panthers scored a 16-9 win over #8 Lake Norman Thunder and a 14-4 win over the LKN Hurricanes and earned the #2 seed for bracket play. The MARA Thunder earned the #1 seed for bracket play with an 8-6 win over the OTK Saints and a 16-6 win over Elite 9 (SC). In the semifinals, the Lake Norman Thunder jumped all over MARA Thunder to win 21-4 and the Piedmont Panthers edged out the OTK Saints 6-5 to set up a finals match between our two highest ranked teams in this field. In the rematch of their pool play game, the Panthers again came out the winner over the Thunder, this time by the score of 10-7.

#13 Triple Crown Lookouts had a disappointing weekend, going 0-1-1 in pool play, scoring a 10-10 tie against Elite 9 – Moore and a 12-6 loss to Team 24 Gamecocks – Bailey. Copperheads – Snell/Heis earned the #1 seed for bracket play with a 15-0 win over the Concord Comets and a 11-5 win over the On Deck O’s, however they were edged out in their semifinal game by Team 24 Gamecocks – Bailey (3-2). In the other semifinal, the On Deck O’s topped Aces – Edwards 9-6 to reach the final. In the final, it was Team 24 Gamecocks – Bailey over the On Deck O’s by the score of 18-3. Notably, the Triple Crown Lookouts lost their first game on Sunday to eventual champion Team 24 Gamecocks – Bailey (11-6) but won their consolation game against Elite 9 – Moore (14-9).

In the 11u age group, it was YC who came away the champion, going 4-0 for the weekend. They opened pool play with a 13-5 win over Rivals Baseball and a 9-1 win over LKN Attack to earn the #3 seed in bracket play. The 2025 SBA LKN Canes earned the #1 seed in bracket play with a 20-2 win over Team Carolina and an 18-2 win over the Carolina Thunder, while Copperheads – Rowlands earned the #2 seed with a 12-4 win over Carolina Heat SC and a 13-1 win over Elite Baseball EBC. In bracket play, Team USA Diamond King beat the Piedmont Panthers 12-2 before topping the 2025 SBA LKN Canes 10-4 in the semifinal. On the other side of the bracket, it was YC over Copperheads – Rowlands 10-5 to set up the finals. In the finals, YC blasted Team USA Diamond King 12-2 to take home the Gold bracket title.

The 12u age group was won by the Pro-Fit Spartans, who used some stingy defense and excellent pitching to outscore their opponents a combined 29-14 and go 4-0 for the weekend. In pool play, the Spartans edged out the Stealth Elite Thunderbirds 4-3 before topping Team Carolina 10-3 en route to the #2 seed. Elite – Storm took the #1 seed with a 10-0 win over the LKN Hurricanes and a 13-1 win over the Hickory Hurricanes. In bracket play, it was the Pro-Fit Spartans over the On Deck O’s 6-4 and Elite – Storm on top of the Stealth Elite Thunderbirds 12-4. In the finals, Pro-Fit Spartans continued their great tournament run with a 9-4 win over Elite – Storm to capture the Gold bracket championship.

Elite Baseball EBC bounced back from a disappointing pool play showing to win three games on Sunday and capture the Gold bracket title. They started pool play with a 12-4 loss to the Carolina Bears and followed that up with an 18-3 win over Muddogs Baseball to secure the #3 seed for bracket play. The Bears received the #1 seed after defeating Muddogs Baseball 11-3 in addition to their win over Elite Baseball EBC. Fury Baseball earned the #2 seed with a 14-1 win over GSB Grizzlies and a 11-6 loss to Stingrays Baseball. In bracket play, Elite Baseball EBC topped #6 seed Muddogs Baseball 9-1 and then beat #2 seed Fury Baseball 16-1 to reach the finals. On the other side of the bracket GSB Grizzlies defeated Stingrays Baseball 9-7 before losing 12-2 to the Carolina Bears in the semifinals. In the finals, Elite Baseball EBC got revenge against the Carolina Bears with a 11-3 victory and a Gold bracket championship.

Team 24 Gamecocks – Douglas rolled to a 4-0 weekend and the Gold bracket championship. They went 2-0 on Saturday with a 8-3 win over Cherryville Baseball and a 11-1 win over Elite Santos Baseball to earn the #1 seed in bracket play. The Lake Wylie Warriors earned the #2 seed with a 14-2 win over the On Deck O’s Black and a 5-2 win over Elite Santos Baseball in pool play. Copperheads – Evernham also went 2-0 in pool play with a 7-3 win over Concord Athletics and a 5-4 win over Aces – Moon to earn the #3 seed. In bracket play, Parkwood Baseball topped the Bulldogs 3-2 before losing to Team 24 Gamecocks – Douglas 11-3 in the semifinals. Cherryville Baseball beat Copperheads – Evernham before falling to the Lake Wylie Warriors in the semifinals by the score of 5-4. In the finals, Team 24 Gamecocks – Douglas out-slugged the Warriors and won 19-11 in a high scoring game.

The #18 Neuse River Broncos went 2-0 in this rain shortened 1-day event, beating the Carolina Freedom 6-5 and Greenville Athletics – Givens 18-3.

The #17 Stix had a very impressive weekend as they were the only undefeated team in the field in the 10u age group, going 2-0 with a 5-3 win over #18 Wendell Knights and a 10-6 win over #4 Port City Rebels. The Rebels finished 1-1 with a 15-3 win over the New Bern Flames. The Knights also finished 1-1 with a 13-5 win over the East Carolina Bombers.

Both Akadema Baseball and Greenville Athletics – Everette finished 2-0 this weekend, although Greenville Athletics conceded 2 runs to Akadema’s 7 runs allowed. Greenville topped the Carolina Titans Blue 13-0 and the New Bern Flames 14-2. Akadema Baseball beat the Pitt County Diamond Dawgs 6-5 and the Carolina Titans Blue 3-2.

The #11 Diamond Thieves looked impressive this weekend going 2-0 and shutting out both the South Wake Storm Blue (9-0) and the Clayton Stampede (13-0). Rock Solid Red also went 2-0 with a 12-1 win over Zone Select and a 10-3 win over Process Baseball. The Clayton Cyclones also went 2-0 on Saturday with a 15-7 win over the Carolina Hawks and a 9-1 win over Process Baseball.

Both the L-Town Hurricanes and the Copperheads – Sigler went 2-0 in pool play, with the Hurricanes topping the Rangers 17-6 and the Davidson Force 13-2, and the Copperheads beating the Charlotte Titans 6-3 and the Davidson Force 24-9. In the finals, L-town Hurricanes pulled out the win over the Copperheads by the score of 9-4 to capture the title in this 1 day event.

The #13 SBA LKN Carolina Cobras dominated all weekend en route to a 3-0 showing and the tournament title. In pool play, they rolled Stewards of the Game 18-3 before topping the SBA Canes 9-1. The SBA Canes also had a win against the Hickory Hurricanes (11-0) to secure their spot in the finals against the Carolina Cobras. In the finals, it was all SBA LKN Carolina Cobras as they shutout the SBA Canes 8-0.
