This is a big weekend for Top Gun as the Zone Qualifiers for the Winter World Series are in full swing. Top Gun has 10 different sites going this weekend. Please note, at the time of writing, the schedule for the Charlotte Site has not yet been published.
Rocky Mount
At Rocky Mount, ages 9u, 11u, 12u, 13u (54/80 and 60/90), and 14u all in action.
9u
Several teams in our latest top 20 will be playing including #7 Smash Baseball, #16 Stix, and #20 PITT413. Stix and PITT413 will play on Saturday in what should be a good game.
11u
There is both an open division and D3 division for the 11us this weekend in Rocky Mount. In the open division, 10u #1 Evoshield Canes NC – Gilchrist will be playing up in the 11u division this weekend. #3 Cleveland Wildcats and #14 Hitmen Baseball will also be in Rocky Mount. The Carolina Pilots, who were just outside the top 20 will also be playing, and received a tough Saturday draw as they were matched up against the Cleveland Wildcats and Hitmen Baseball.
12u
There’s a D1 and an open division in the 12u tournament this weekend. The D1 tournament appears to be excellent with our #1 Legends Baseball, #15 Carolina Titans – Wilson, and #18 Archers all in the field. Additionally, Xtreme Heights, an excellent team from Virginia, and the Rawlings Prospects NC, another team just outside our top 20, are also in the D1 division.
13u
The 54/80 division will headlined by #5 Diamond Thieves and #16 Youngsville Intimidators. #11 Carolina Titans – Ambrose appear to be the headliner of the 60/90 division although Greenville Athletics – Jones could also make some noise in this division.
Cary
Cary will feature 9u, 11u, 12u, 13u, and 14u divisions.
9u
9u will be a four team division with our #2 West Raleigh Blue, #3 Carolina Red Sox – Jones, and #6 NCDB Rivercats. An excellent Wilson Reds team will also be in the field. Obviously this should be a highly competitive division.
11u
The 11u division is headlined by our #5 Evoshield Canes NC – Hood. This is a good example to remember, though, that it’s early in the fall season so there could be some surprises in store.
12u
None of our 12u top 20 are in the field in Cary but this division will help sort out some of those teams just on the edge of cracking the top 20.
13u
#13 Akadema Baseball Gray and #20 West Raleigh Skeeters are in the field this weekend. Just like the 12u division, I’d anticipate some of the results in this division shaking things up in the bottom half of our top 20. Notably, 13u #1 Evoshield Canes NC – Gallaher will be playing in the 14u D1 division.
Goldsboro
In Goldsboro this weekend there will be 8u, 10u, 13u and 14u divisions.
8u
The 8u division gets off to a big start with our #1 West Raleigh Blue and #3 Dirtbags Black facing each other at 8:30 AM on Saturday. Several other teams in this division could help establish themselves this weekend.
10u
The 10u should be another competitive division with #5 Clayton Fusion, #9 NCDB Rivercats, #13 Youngsville Heat, and #20 South Wake Storm all in the field. The Carolina Titans and the North Wake Elite could also make some noise in this division this weekend. Clayton Fusion and South Wake Storm will play on Saturday afternoon in the only matchup of top 20 teams in this division on Saturday, so we’ll have to wait until Sunday to see where this division shakes out.
13u
There will only be a D3 division in this age group in Goldsboro this weekend. None of our top 20 are in the field.
Myrtle Beach
This tournament consists of mainly South Carolina teams, however 11u #2 Evoshield Canes NC – Simpson will be in the field.
Lumberton
8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, and 13u teams will all be in playing in Lumberton this weekend.

Only 1 team from NC in the field in this division (NSA 8u).
9u
None of our top 20 are in the 9u field in Lumberton.
10u
This looks to be an excellent division with our #4 Sandhills Stingrays, #8 Port City Rebels, #16 Stix, two excellent teams from South Carolina in the Carolina Titans and the East Coast Snipers, as well as the Richmond Rockies who are just outside of our top 20 currently. The Sandhills Stingrays and the Port City Rebels will face off on Saturday afternoon in what should be an outstanding game.

The 11u division is headlined by our #17 NSA 06 Elite.
12u
There will be both D2 and D3 divisions in this age group in Goldsboro this weekend. None of our top 20 are in the field.

None of our top 20 are in the field in the 13u age group this weekend.
Greensboro

There will be only a 12u division in Greensboro this weekend. This age group features our #4 WM9 Signature, #11 East Rowan, #14 5 Star Carolina, as well as the Rawlings Stars N.C. Prospects, who should probably be in our top 20. 5 Star Carolina will play both the Rawlings Stars and WM9 on Saturday, in what looks to be the toughest draw of the weekend in this age group.
Carrabus/Stanly County
The 8u, 9u, and 10u age groups will be in action here this weekend.

None of our top 20 are in the field, however this is an age group that’s hard to rank right now so some clarity could be brought with the results this weekend.
