USSSA Recap 4/21-4/22/18

Many top 20 teams were in action at the different USSSA sites with some exciting games including a match-up of top 5 12u teams in Charlotte. We continued to see some dominant performances from some of our top teams such as 8u #2 Lake Norman Vipers and 9u #2 SBA Canes – Simmons. Check out our recap of the weekend’s games.

USSSA Recap 4/14-4/15/18

There were some big game across the state in USSSA play this past weekend. Perhaps none bigger than a #1 vs #2 match up in the 9u age group as both Park Sharon Nationals and SBA Canes – Simmons reached the finals in the 10u division in Charlotte. USSSA Beast of the East Recap April 2018

Unfortunately Mother Nature hindered the USSSA’s best-laid plans as rain washed out all games on Saturday and completely wiped out bracket play in the 10u Majors division. Despite that, many games were played on Friday, and bracket play continued on Sunday for all but the 10’s as 5 champions were crowned on Sunday. The Park Sharon Nationals (9u), Minion (12u), and Canes NC – Gallaher (13u) all repeated as champions, defending their fall 2017 Beast of the East titles. With so many top 20 teams in action across all the age groups, there was lots exciting games going on Friday evening and all day Sunday. Here we recap the weekend’s results.

USSSA Beast of the East Preview April 2018

Here it is. The biggest tournament of the spring in North Carolina has arrived. This will be one of the biggest, and certainly most competitive of the early spring season. There will be a TON of top 20 teams in action across multiple age groups. This will be an exciting event and will certainly lead to some movement in our rankings when all is said and done. Here we preview the competition and offer some thoughts about the upcoming action.

USSSA Recap 3/31-4/1/18

There were just a few USSSA games this past weekend. 9u #6 SBA Canes – Simmons went 2-0 playing up in the 10u division in Charlotte. 12u #2 Minion went 2-0 against two top 20 teams. See our brief recap of this past weekend’s games.

USSSA Recap 3/24-3/25/18

Much like most of the other competition across the state this weekend, play was limited due to weather. Despite this, we still saw some great action and great performances by some of the top teams in the state. Here’s a brief recap of the USSSA action this past weekend.

USSSA Preview 3/24-3/25/18

There are a dozen or more ranked teams in action at the USSSA sites throughout the weekend this weekend, including three #1’s (9u Park Sharon, 11u SBA Canes – Ross, and 12u East Rowan) as well as a #2 (10u SBA Canes – Marconi). This should results in some shake ups in our rankings, and some excellent baseball this weekend. Here’s a quick preview of the weekend’s USSSA action.

USSSA Spring Super NIT Recap

Some of the best teams in North Carolina made the trip down to Atlanta this past weekend to test themselves against some of the top teams in the Southeast. 9u #1 Park Sharon Nationals and 9u #16 SBA Canes – Simmons, 10u #1 Canes NC – Gilchrist, 11u #1 SBA Canes – Ross, and 12u #2 Minion and #5 Park Sharon Nationals were all in action. USSSA Recap 3/17-3/18/18

USSSA had over a dozen top 20 teams across different age groups in play this weekend in the state of North Carolina. There were some really outstanding performances and certainly will be some shake ups in the rankings. Here’s a recap of this past weekend’s NC USSSA events. 

USSSA Atlanta Spring NIT Preview

Although this is not technically a North Carolina event, we thought we’d go ahead and give a special preview for our North Carolina teams representing in Atlanta this upcoming weekend. Some of the best teams in the state including the #1 team in 9u, 10u, and the 11u age groups as well as the #2 and #5 teams in the 12u age group will be in action in this tournament.
