We are closing in on the end of the spring, but there was still some exciting baseball going on in Charlotte this weekend at the USSSA site. Multiple top 10 and 20 teams were inaction, including 9u #1 Park Sharon Nationals playing up in the 10u age group. Here’s a recap of the weekend’s games from Charlotte.

There was lots of exciting action in Charlotte this weekend, including a match up of 10u #1 Canes Baseball NC – Gilchrist and #2 SBA Canes – Marconi, as well as an all-SBA top 5 contest between 9u #2 SBA Canes – Simmons and #4 SBA Canes – Pitts. The 13u age group featured an all-Canes Baseball final as well with #2 Canes Baseball NC – Haire and #13 Canes Baseball NC – Wearing. It was a big weekend of action at the USSSA sites this past weekend. 9u #1 Park Sharon and 11u #1 SBA Canes – Ross were both in action this weekend. The 10u age group had multiple ranked teams in action, including a matchup of 9u #1 Park Sharon and #2 SBA Canes – Simmons. USSSA had a few sites going this past Memorial weekend. Featured at the various sites were several top 10 and 20 teams, including a top 10 match up in the 13u age group between #3 Knights Prime and #7 Dirtbags – Smith. Check out our recap of the weekend’s games.
There was some exciting action, despite the rain, at the USSSA sites this weekend. In particular, Charlotte saw 9u #2 SBA Canes – Simmons win a great championship game against perhaps the top team in South Carolina, Team 24 Gamecocks – Ashley. The 11u division featured 5 teams in the top 11 in the state and numerous match ups amongst the teams. Here we recap the USSSA games from this past weekend.
The weekend at the USSSA sites saw another rained out Super NIT in Kingsport, TN, an-all Mission Vipers final in the 10u age group in Charlotte, as well as the first loss of the spring for 11u #1 Carolina Blue Sox, who rebounded to win the tournament championship in Charlotte. Some of the best teams in the state of North Carolina were in action this past weekend in Lexington, South Carolina to take on some of the best teams in the Southeast. It was an exciting weekend of baseball filled with some excellent performances and some surprising results that will surely have some impact on our rankings this week.
