No rainouts this weekend at Shipyard, as nearly 40 teams made the trip to Mount Pleasant for a great weekend of baseball. In total, teams from 7 different states (Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia) were in the fields across 5 age groups for this National Youth Baseball Championships qualifier event. There were a handful of ranked teams in action across the Triangle at the Top Gun sites this past weekend. We saw top 20 matchups in multiple age groups including the 9u and 11u age groups. Here we recap the games from this past weekend’s Top Gun events around the triangle. 

We weren’t able to get to a recap for the Top Gun games in the Charlotte region last week, but we took note this week. 10 ranked teams were in the fields across three age groups this weekend at the Top Gun sites around the Triangle. We saw several top 20 and top 10 matchups and 13u #2 Canes Baseball Eastern NC proved they will again be a force to be reckoned with in the 13u age group this year. A number of ranked teams made the trip to Charleston, South Carolina this past weekend to battle it out at Shipyard Park. Highlighting the weekend, was a match up of NC 11u #2 SBA Futures and SC #3 Charleston Revolution. Take a look at our recap of the weekend’s games.

Over a half-dozen ranked teams were in action this weekend across the Top Gun sites in Goldsboro/Snow Hill and Holly Springs this weekend. There were a lot of ranked teams in action in the Charlotte region at the Top Gun sites this weekend. We saw the top 9u team in South Carolina (Team 24 Gamecocks – Clayton) go head-to-head with the #3 team in North Carolina (LBC Vipers) in a great finals match up. The 11u age group featured the return of one our top 20 10u teams from a year ago, the Belmont Bandits, making their debut in the 11u age group, while the 12u age group had 4 teams in our top 20 in action. It was a big weekend this past weekend at Shipyard Park in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Some of South Carolina’s best were in action, and the 11u age group was perhaps the best individual age group in the region this weekend. Take a look at our recap of the weekend’s action. 

Rain again slowed or cancelled some play again this weekend, however most of the games and divisions around the Triangle were able to be completed.
