In order to provide a spotlight for more teams, and to help teams discern the top competition in their own area, we've developed "regional" rankings for the state of North Carolina. We have divided the state into 5 regions: Charlotte Metro, Coastal, Mountain, Triad, and Triangle. We are starting with 5 teams in each region and plan to expand from there. We are open to any and all recommendations with these rankings as there will be many more teams represented in these rankings than in the overall state rankings.
Geographic areas will be as follows:
Charlotte Metro: Charlotte extending north to Mooresville and east to I-74
Coastal: Everything east of I-95
Mountain: West of Winston-Salem, Lake Norman, and the Charlotte metro area
Triad: Between Winston-Salem and Durham, extending south to Pinehurst/Southern Pines
Triangle: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill extending east and south to I-95
