There are a number of ranked teams in action this weekend, including some very interesting match ups in the early season. In particular, in Charlotte, the #1 10u team in North Carolina, the SBA Futures, will face off against the #2 12u team in North Carolina in Park Sharon Nationals – Pirro. Here we highlight some of the top teams in action and biggest games of the weekend as the spring season starts to ramp up.

Although some teams were in action last weekend at the USSSA President’s Day event last weekend in Florida, the upcoming weekend will see a number of teams in action across the state. It remains to be seen if weather will keep these games from being played, although this seems likely. Here’s a brief preview of who will be in action this weekend.
Perfect Game’s 11u Preseason National Top 100 was another strong showing for teams in the region with 5 teams from North Carolina (Park Sharon Nationals – Pirro, SBA Futures, SBA Nationals, West Raleigh Blue, and Dirtbags Black), 1 from South Carolina (Team 24 Gamecocks – Ashley), and 1 from Virginia (Stars Baseball – Colangelo) included. Park Sharon continues to be the fast riser in this age group, going from unranked nationally 1 year ago, to #36 in the End-of-Summer rankings in 2019, to #5 in the preseason rankings.
