207 total teams will come to the Rocky Mount area this weekend for the second weekend of the Top Gun Winter World Series (WWS). Across the 10u and 12u age groups, there will be 21 ranked teams in action in the D1 and D2 division. The 10u D1 division features 9 of our top 11 teams and 10 of our top 20 for what might be the best field of the fall in this age group. Here we preview the weekend ahead at the WWS.

Rain messed up what was shaping up to be an excellent Sunday of games in Charlotte. Only the 8u, 12u Majors, and 13u AAA division were able to get through bracket play on Sunday. 12u #2 Canes Baseball NC – Foster staked their claim to regain the #1 spot in the 12u age group, while #9 Asheville A’s made an impressive run through the 8u division on their way to the title. We missed some of the key matchups we were hoping to see, particularly in the 11u age group, but overall it was another exciting weekend of baseball with some of the best teams in the region. Over two dozen ranked teams will compete across 4 age groups in the first weekend of one of the biggest youth baseball events of the fall season this weekend at the Top Gun Winter World Series (WWS). #1 teams in our 8u (West Raleigh Blue) and 9u (East Rowan) age groups will be in action, as will multiple teams in our top 5 and 10s in their respective age groups. In addition, teams from Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia will also be making the trip to the Rocky Mount area to face off against some of North Carolina’s best competition this weekend.
