USSSA Beast of the East October 2018 Preview

28 top 10 ten and 37 top 20 teams will head to Charlotte this weekend to take on some of the best teams in the Southeast at the USSSA Fall Beast of the East (BoE) in what is annually one of the best tournaments of the fall season. The #1 teams in our 9u (Dirtbags Black), 10u (Park Sharon Nationals), 11u (SBA Premier), and 12u (Canes Baseball NC – Hood) will be in action in their respective age groups. In addition, in what is without a doubt the best 12u field of the season, everyone of our top 10 teams and 11 of our top 12 teams will all be take the field this weekend. This looks to be a great weekend in Charlotte, so hopefully the rain holds off. Here we highlight some of the big games this weekend and even try and make some predictions about potential champions (for fun).

Top Gun 13u WWS Recap October 2018

The 13u age group had 79 teams spread across 5 division in what was one of the largest single 13u events of the fall. There were a lot of great teams in action and some really outstanding play all weekend. Here we recap the weekend’s games and highlight some of the best team performances. 

Top Gun WWS Recap 11u October 2018

58 teams were split across 3 divisions at the 11u Top Gun Winter World Series this past weekend. The D1 division featured 6 of our top 10 and 10 of our top 20 teams, as well as the defending Top Gun Summer World Series champions Virginia Stars – Camp. There were a lot of huge match ups and exciting results. Here we recap the results from the 11u WWS from this past weekend.

Top Gun WWS 8u-9u Recap October 2018

It was a big weekend at the Top Gun Winter World Series this past weekend. We’ll start our recaps with the 8u and 9u age groups. Both the #1 8u and 9u teams were in the fields, as well as multiple other top 10 and 20 teams. It made for some great games excellent baseball all weekend. We didn’t do very well in our predictions in these age groups, but to use the old adage, “that’s why they play the game.” Here we recap the 8u and 9u games from this past weekend at the Top Gun WWS.

Top Gun WWS Preview (8u, 9u, 11u, 13u) Fall 2018

Here it is. The first weekend of the Top Gun Winter World Series will take place this weekend. This is annually one of the biggest tournaments of the fall season in North Carolina, and there are dozens of ranked teams in action. Here we provide a preview of action and try a little something new (for fun) – we made a champion prediction for each division. Good luck teams!

Top Gun Recap Fayetteville/Greensboro/Indian Trail 10/13-10/14/18

Top Gun saw a handful of other ranked teams in action at the Fayetteville, Greensboro, and Indian Trail sites. The ranked teams performed well with 9u #4 East Rowan, 11u #7 Dirtbags Black, and 12u #5 Canes Baseball NC – Simpson all taking home titles this weekend.
