There were only a few ranked teams in action, and fortunately some of them went head-to-head. We made a few slight changes to the rankings this week, and we’ve summarized those below.

In 2017, the USSSA sent some shockwaves through the youth baseball circuit when it banned several versions of the 2017 CF Zen. This had been one of the hottest new bats on the market and was being utilized by thousands of players across the state and the country. When the USSSA determined via routine audit the certain models of the 2017 CF Zen did meet the 1.15 BPF standard, Demarini offered replacement re-tooled versions, or a voucher for purchase of another Wilson/Louisville Slugger/Demarini product.
There were a handful of ranked team in play in the USSSA one-day events this weekend, including 9u #1 Park Sharon Nationals, 10u #2 SBA Canes – Marconi, and 11u #2 SBA Canes – Ross, who all played up an age group. All three teams made the finals of their age groups playing up, with Park Sharon and Canes – Ross taking home the titles playing a year up. Take a look at our recap of the weekend’s games.
There were just a few sites, teams, and age groups in action this holiday weekend for AAU. Nevertheless, there was some competitive action and some impressive performances including the North Wake Shockwave taking the 11u title. Here we provide a brief recap of the AAU results from the weekend.
It was a lighter weekend of Top Gun games because of the Mother’s Day holiday. Nevertheless, there were still a number of top 20 teams in action including 3 top 20 games going head-to-head in the 1ou division in Goldsboro. Check out our recap of the latest Top Gun games.
There were some big games played this past weekend at the Border Wars as well as some of the other sites. We’ve tried to provide some reasoning for the bigger moves in the rankings this week, so let us know if you disagree.

The weekend at the USSSA sites saw another rained out Super NIT in Kingsport, TN, an-all Mission Vipers final in the 10u age group in Charlotte, as well as the first loss of the spring for 11u #1 Carolina Blue Sox, who rebounded to win the tournament championship in Charlotte.
