Perfect Game Coastal Fall Elite Championship

The first big event of the fall season took placed this past weekend with the Perfect Game Coastal Fall Elite Championship. Team from 10u-12u competed, with some of the very best teams in North Carolina in action. We witnessed some great competition including one of the most anticipated match ups in a long time with 12u Canes Baseball NC – Pirro and the SBA Futures going at it. It turned out to be a great weekend for Showcase Baseball Academy, with their teams taking titles at 10u, 11u, and 12u. Here we recap the PG Coastal Fall Elite Championship from this past weekend.

Outside NC Highlights 6/13-6/14/20

There were a number of top level teams who played outside North Carolina this past weekend. This included events such as the USSSA Super NIT in Atlanta, as well as Perfect Game events in Georgia and Florida. Here we briefly run down the highlights from our North Carolina teams who traveled across the Southeast this past weekend.

A look inside Perfect Game’s mid-summer 11u rankings

Perfect Game recently released their Mid-Summer travel baseball rankings. This was the 4th edition of their national travel baseball rankings in 2019 and had a number of changes in the 11u age group. 4 teams from North Carolina, 3 from Virginia, and 3 from South Carolina made the top 100. Here we review some of the highlights of the 11u top 100 national rankings, as well as offer our thoughts on these rankings.

Perfect Game 13u Super 25 Qualifier 10/5-10/7/18

Some of the best 13u teams in the state and region descended upon Pineville to compete for a spot in the Perfect Game Super 25 National Championship next Summer. 5 of our top 10 12u teams from last year were in action with many going head-to-head. In the end, Dirtbags MVP (previously Minion) established themselves as perhaps the 13u team to beat in North Carolina with a 5-0 weekend and a tournament title. Perfect Game 11u/12u Super 25 Qualifier Recap 9/22-9/23/18

4 top 20 teams from last year, and two big time out-of-state teams in the 11u age group. 5 top 10 teams from our final 11u 2017-2018 rankings and the #2 team in our final 10u rankings last year in the 12u age group. Needless to say, the 11u and 12u fields were full of top-level talent this past weekend at the Perfect Game event in Greensboro. There were some tightly contested games, and excellent play. Here we recap the weekend’s games.

Perfect Game 11u/12u Super 25 Qualifier Preview 9/22-9/23/18

Perfect Game has a lights-out event in store for this weekend in Greensboro. With 4 of the top 20 10u teams from this past spring competing in the 11u age group, and 5 of the top 10 teams in the final 2017-2018 11u rankings (and the #2 1ou team from this past spring) competing in the 12u age groups, we should see some exciting baseball. The 11u age group will also have a team from South Carolina (PRO Select) and a team from Virginia (Canes Baseball NC – Cheetham) in the field. Here we provide a brief preview of the weekend’s games.

Perfect Game Greensboro 13u Super 25 Qualifier Recap

8 of our top 20 13u teams were in the field Perfect Game Super 25 Qualifier field this past weekend in Greensboro. #1 Canes Baseball NC – Gallaher was the headliner, but with 19 teams representing 5 different states in the field, this was a wide open tournament. PGBA 11u Charlotte Invitational Recap June 2018

The Perfect Game Baseball Association (PGBA) Charlotte Invitational was this past weekend in Pineville. The field featured 8 teams, including 5 of the top 10 and 7 of the top 12 teams in the state of North Carolina. Needless to say the field was absolutely loaded and there were some exciting games and finishes. Here we recap the weekend in Pineville.
